Scripts to EBooks
An early attempt at just putting out a script as an EBook was the free short story ‘Conversations Over Cards‘. It was downloaded quite a few times and a couple of good reviews here and there, but I need a larger audience to get a feel if people like to read ‘scripts’ as causally as regular narrative.
That’s why ‘Gravity Gone‘ was hanging on the fence until now because I can just as easily post it as a script and be done with it or switch off to a narrative and be normal like the rest of the folks. I mean, I don’t see too many posted ‘scripts’ these days unless it’s a made from an exisiting movie.
Laziness keeps me from writing the story as a full narrative, to be honest. I would rather continue working on stuff that has ongoing character value and depth. Gravity Gone is a one-shot mass destruction action film concept and, though I had ideas for spin-offs, the character essentially ends in this script.
I entered it into Amazon Studios contest a few months back and I have won exactly half of all the premise battles. You know something, that Amazon Studios thing was the very last ‘contest’ I entered and sure enough, did not win. SMH. I HATE contests to no end. That was the very last contest I’ll ever submit anything to.
So Gravity Gone is going into an EBook Script form, allowing me to imprint it separately just for scripts. I have quite a few.
To show you how 1-2-3 that process is, once I’m done with a decent cover for Gravity Gone, it’ll be up on Barnes and Noble in place of my failed attempt at 40 To Go before this weekend is through.
The new Sleight of Death cover is coming along nicely. I never really thought Candice (the model on the original cover) liked her pictures anyway.
